'A Dollar and a Dream' Fund
My american dream is to prove that the 'American Dream' is
living and active. I believe the american dream is when people
work together for a common goal. I want to open an art gallery
for the people. I believe art should be enjoyed and made by the
average Joe or Betty. I realized the problem immediately, which
was that I couldn't afford such an endeavor, especially being an
artist, not a starving artist, but an artist nonetheless. The idea of
having someone else funding the project came to mind; how
ludicrous to think that strangers would take up such a cause. I
decided it would be a challenge to see if there are people out
there who would take a chance on something that could make
history. I say history because I need $80,000.00 from the
general public, the rest to be borrowed from the bank. Now,
would you take my word for it, especially over the internet? NOT,
but I'm hoping you will. This is how it works. You send me your
name and a dollar (or more I won't refuse) and you will be
registered as a someone who believes in the American Dream.
What on Mars do I get out this? Well let me think, not much in
tangible value, but you can brag by saying you are a patron and
philanthropist of the arts. And you can always come down or up
to the greater Western New York region and visit what you help
realized.
